VinylCheck and VinylRec are designed with your privacy in mind. We collect minimal data and never sell your information to third parties. This policy applies to both apps.

These apps are developed by Intergalactic Robots, an indie app studio by Will Chatham.

Data We Collect

Discogs Account Data

When you sign in with Discogs, we access:

This data is stored locally on your device to enable offline functionality. We do not upload your collection data to our servers.

Authentication Tokens

Your Discogs OAuth tokens are stored securely in your device's Keychain. These tokens allow the apps to communicate with Discogs on your behalf.

Camera Access (VinylCheck only)

VinylCheck uses your camera solely to scan barcodes. No images or video are stored or transmitted. Camera access can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

App-Specific Data (VinylRec only)

VinylRec stores additional data locally on your device:

Data We Don't Collect

Third-Party Services

Both apps connect to the Discogs API to search their database and access your collection. Your use of Discogs data is also subject to the Discogs Privacy Policy.
